Solutions by Text Supports HTTPS

Solutions by Text clients connecting via HTTP must update their connections to HTTPS by February 1, 2017, in order to continue using the SBT service.
Solutions by Text recently released new reporting capabilities specifically targeted to SMS marketers. TCPA Phone Number Deactivation Logic
The US mobile market continues to evolve and experience major growth with a 9% increase in mobile users from 2015 to 2016 and 80% smartphone penetration. With the increase in cellphone customers, major carriers are experiencing a shortage of phone numbers to provision to their subscribers. As a result, mobile carriers have reduced how long they keep deactivated numbers inactive – some as short as 2 days and others as long as 50 days.
Inbound MMS is a powerful new capability that can speed up loan processing and improve turnaround times in the verification process. A recent Pew Research Center study noted that greater than 75% of cellphone users send text messages and more than 50% of cellphone users take pictures. With the inbound MMS capability, SBT has bridged the common activities and usages of the cell phone with the business-critical needs of SBT’s clients. SBT’s TextPay combines customer preference for text message communications with the convenience of payment options. With SBT’s TextPay, customers can authorize payments by replying to SMS text messages with pre-defined keywords.
Collection Messages Best Practice
Recently, a major mobile carrier, Verizon, indicated that SMS messages can no longer contain the words ‘past due’, ‘overdue’, ‘delinquent’, or ‘late’. In order to ensure deliverability and maintain the effectiveness of the SMS channel for collections messages, Solutions by Text recommends several best practices.
Marketing Messages - Long Code Update
In response to the carrier audits and message rejection, SBT has disabled long codes in marketing delivery groups. Long codes continue to be enabled for account related messages in the account delivery groups.
Until now, clients have been leveraging SBT’s ‘Update Subscriber’ web service to associate unique customer information such as first name, last name, and account number to a phone number. However, this web service updated the subscription across all brands managed by the client. The new ‘Update Subscriber by Org’ web service provides the additional capability to associate unique customer information for each brand that a phone number is subscribed to.
